In this world, it seems that everyone is qualified to talk about democracy, with the exception of the CCP. But it does not mean that the CCP is unfamiliar with democracy. In the 100-year history of the CCP, there was also a period when one wanted to be obsessed with democracy. For example, it took about three years from the end of the Anti-Japanese War to the beginning of the full-scale civil war. The CCP demanded the Kuomintang to return power to the people and establish a democratic republic in China. Its mouthpiece, Xinhua Daily, published a large number of articles criticizing the Kuomintang and Chiang Kai-shek for dictatorship and advocating democracy.
Mao Zedong Zhou Enlai waited for a piece popular database of democracy, and he became an advocate and supporter of democracy. It cannot be said that Mao Zhou's call for democracy at that time was purely a show, and he used the smoke bombs to confuse people when he was insufficient in competing with the Kuomintang. It should be said that among the first generation of revolutionaries of the CCP, many people did join the CCP for the pursuit of democracy, so the CCP’s pursuit of democracy at that time may have a sincere and serious side. The second time the CCP showed its interest in democracy was when Hu Yaobang and Zhao Ziyang were in power.
Due to the great destruction of the Cultural Revolution, many people reflected on the original intention of joining the revolution and rekindled their faith in democracy. Democracy also has some simple understandings. There have been some ideas of piloting democracy in the whole country, and the CCP has even conducted experiments locally. But these two periods are very short-lived. Nevertheless, democracy is too rare in the history of the CCP. The white paper that the CCP has been fighting for democracy for a hundred years and has implemented the whole process of democracy in China is a blatant lie. Yes, among the 64-character core values of the CCP, there are democracy and freedom. But if you think that these two words are written, as well as beautiful words such as democracy in the whole process, China has really become a democratic country, it can only be said to be confused.
